Family Paddlesports Open Session

Enjoy a relaxed paddlesports session on our beautiful natural lake with your family. This 3‑hour open session gives you the freedom to get out on the water at your own pace, whether you bring your own craft or hire one of ours.

You can choose from sit‑on‑top kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes, available on a first‑come, first‑choice basis. If you’re hiring a craft, all essential kit is included. If you’re bringing your own craft, please remember to bring your own paddles and buoyancy aids (Paddle PPE available for hire if needed).

Our lake is a calm, sheltered environment, around 5ft at its deepest, 70m long and 14m wide, making it ideal for families looking for a safe and enjoyable paddling experience. Buoyancy aids and helmets must be worn at all times while on the water.

This is a supervised session, with qualified staff on hand to ensure the lake remains a safe space for everyone. Please note that this is not a coached activity—it’s simply an open paddling opportunity for families to explore, play, and enjoy time on the water together.

Children aged 5–7 must have an adult on the water with them. Children aged 8–13 need an adult supervising from the waterside. Children aged 14+ may take part independently.

1-2 participants - £15 *second participant goes free!

Additional participants - £5 pp

Paddlecraft hire - Choose from Kayak, SUP (Stand-Up-Paddleboard) or Canoe. (Includes PPE hire)
*Craft can accommodate one adult and up to 2 additional children aged 5-7 years old.

Paddle PPE kit hire – If you have your own craft but do not own a buoyancy or helmet we have sets which can be hired per person using this option
